Dylann Roof
Motivated by Sheer Ignorance?

Dylann Roof, was the Charleston SC shooter who used race as a motivator for his attack inside of an all black church last June.
But, his motivator was much broader. It was caused by the anti-intellectualism mind set of Americans. In other words, ignorance. In recent years, our political leaders have been promoting this new philosophy called rational public policy. The idea derives from the fact that Roof committed mass murder inside a church because of racial hatred and intolerance of black culture in a very racist section of the country-the South Eastern States. This reasoning is erroneous.
Anti-intellectualism gave him the excuse for his "racist" actions. We as a culture are headed dangerously close to shear irrationality and yes, you guessed it, ignorance. Whatever his level of intelligence, means nothing, he was driven by a culture motivated by fear and emotion, not rational thinking. His paranoid personality fails to grasp basic notions of what it is to be human. At the core of all this is the abandonment of reasoning in America.
